Assess, coordinate, and remove excess equipment
Wargaming.net management was looking for ways to reduce cost at the Bellevue location. The solution chosen was to move out of our current location and secure a more cost efficient office. With the lock downs in effect as a result of the pandemic the Bellevue office was completely work from home. After planning, organizing, and finding a suitable storage facility additional circumstances arose that made moving into an office not a viable solution.
I researched and secured a warehouse location with enough space to transport all office equipment into and then proceeded to sort through all the IT equipment and arrange with office management enough space and time to sort through everything else. The space secured within given budget was just enough to hold our office items, so next step was to sort through all of the IT and technology equipment. Starting with the largest items and moving downward. The goal being everything will be removed from the warehouse within 3 months.
E-recyclers that would first attempt to re-home all of our IT equipment were sourced. Equipment was checked against current inventory lists, verified with accounting and when necessary sensitive data was removed. Due to space constraints I managed which items to get rid of first, then coordinated with other office locations to ship any equipment that could be repurposed within Wargaming.net.
Items that were of no value to Wargaming.net and would not be used anywhere were given to the E-Recycler.
