The goal of this project is explore technologies, and abilities of new computers. I cannot afford always buying the best, or every sample of CPU, graphics card, memory, etc. However I can buy different brands, and upgrade once in a while to see what is out there. I am admittedly an Intel fan-boy, and an x86 enthusiast. I've worked on Apple computers before, but the x86 platform is where my heart is.

The only computer pre-built I have ever owned is the one my parents bought back in 1985, the IBM PC 5150, with upgraded CGA graphics, 512KB RAM, and dual floppies.  They also purchased the IBM ProPrinter.

Since then I've custom built my personal computers, at the beginning it was only what I could afford working minimum wage jobs.

Today I've got a 12-gen Core i7, 32GB DDR-5 RAM, RTX 3080Ti, and two m.2 drives, and two SSDs.  All in a windowed case with of course, RGB lighting just because.

I have also purchased a mini-LCD screen that I have inside the case that I'm customizing the layout to show CPU temp and speed, coolant temp, FPS, network speed, along with other numbers to keep an eye on.

My personal computer is not just a computer, but something I enjoy looking at, and more importantly proud of using.

This project is a never ending project, I will always be researching different CPUs, motherboards, cooling solutions, cases, etc. to find the next personal computer.
